Deadly exposure: Plutonium-related cancers plague children of the Manhattan Project

Sue Vorenberg's heart wrenching story about the children of the Manhattan Project is simply a must read, I encourage everyone to follow the link in the title to the full story. I wanted to highlight this portion:
Rene Ryman's lawyer, Michael Howell, filed a lawsuit on her behalf in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque earlier this month against the University of California and other managers of the lab in the '40s and '50s, charging negligence and wrongful death. It could turn into a class action suit, Howell said.

"If enough people come forward, there's a chance we could do a medical-monitoring class action," Howell said.

That sort of suit, if successful, would pay for the testing of all people who grew up in the area at that time, he added.
The press release for this lawsuit was posted here an the blog and contains a toll free number for Rene's attorney. If you are a Manhattan Project child I suggest you make the call.

So what's a few cancers along the way to making a few more millionaires to call Los Alamos home?

This is looking a lot like the former "Rocky Flats". A "Rocky" road for LAN's.

There are more than a few cancers. There are alot of children that lived up there in the 1940's and 1950'that have died with cancers I do not mean a few at least 50 or more and that are now still suffering from the exposure . It is great for everyone to have their opion but how many of you lived there at that time ? They did not even start cleaning it up until 1957 or later. According to the CDC it takes at least 30 years for it show up in your helth after you have been exposed.
